Lunchtime Webinar Series - Learning Together / Te Ako Tahi
Asian and Ethnic Health Services (AEHS), Health NZ is hosting a monthly Lunchtime Learning Series: Learning Together / Te Ako Tahi through 2025.
We are dedicated to fostering culturally safe, equitable, and effective health and social services for all people in Aotearoa New Zealand. Understanding the unique cultural backgrounds, values, and experiences of patients and customers is critical for building trust, improving communication, and achieving better health outcomes. This free-of-charge lunchtime webinar series is designed for health professionals, mental health workers, and community support workers to equip anyone committed to person-centred and culturally safe care with the tools to integrate a vital cultural lens into their daily practice for the health and well-being of all our populations in New Zealand.
Learning Together / Te Ako Tahi webinars are providing valuable insights from cultural perspectives on key topics in healthcare, including:
- Population health - Asian and ethnic communities
- Mental health and wellbeing in Asian and ethnic communities
- Migrant and former refugee health
Click here to express your interest and please feel free to share the attached flyer with your colleagues and networks as this series presents a great opportunity to open dialogue and raise awareness about diverse cultural perspectives in healthcare practice. Colleagues who register for the programme (EOI) will receive detailed calendar invitations and regular updates, including our presenters' PowerPoint slides, recorded videos of the webinars, and Q&A documents for their professional learning.
